ARChA, the new space of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the Polytechnic University of Timișoara. It emerged this year from the convergence of several visions of development and recovery of the built heritage belonging to the UPT Campus. Built in the 20th century by the architect Duiliu Marcu, the building of the 2nd MV Canteen, together with the Faculty of Mechanics and the 1st MV Dormitory, is part of the most representative and coherent ensemble of the campus. By recovering and transforming the old canteen, ARChA adds a new chapter to the 100-year history of the campus and manifestly captures the new philosophy of the Timișoara School of Architecture and Urbanism. It is a place dedicated to the intersections of architecture, art and technology.
